Instrument names and part numbers are given so you can match a part to the one in your system, and they remain the trademarks of their owners. I do not print the manufacturer on the catalogue, because I source each order against your requirement rather than from one brand. The manufacturer, country of origin, rated life and warranty are all stated in the quote, before you decide anything. If you need an OEM part, say so and I will quote that instead. Deuterium lamp for SPECORD PLUS

Deuterium lamp for the SPECORD PLUS, cross-referenced to 820-60274-C. Analytik Jena benches carry a deuterium source for the UV and a separate tungsten source for the visible, and the two fail differently. If the noise sits below the changeover wavelength the deuterium lamp is the suspect; above it, the tungsten. Note the number on the lamp fitted before ordering, because the SPECORD family covers several generations and the part is not common to all of them.

Tungsten lamp for Analytik Jena SPECORD 50, 200, 210 and 250 PLUS

Tungsten halogen lamp for the SPECORD 50, 200, 210 and 250 PLUS, cross-referenced to 820-60267-P. The tungsten source covers the visible range, so its ageing shows up where the deuterium lamp's does not: rising noise above roughly 350 nm while the UV end stays clean. Tungsten lamps usually dim gradually rather than failing outright, so a slow loss of photometric accuracy in the visible is the thing to watch. Change it before an audit rather than after, since it is the cheaper of the two sources.

Deuterium lamp for Beckman MDQ, PA 800 and PA 800 plus

Deuterium lamp for the P/ACE MDQ and PA 800, cross-referenced to 144-667. This is a capillary electrophoresis detector rather than a spectrophotometer, and the optical path is a window burned in the capillary itself, which is a very short path length. That makes the instrument unusually sensitive to lost lamp output: sensitivity falls before the baseline looks bad. If your peak heights have dropped and the migration times are unchanged, check the lamp energy before you replace the capillary, which is the more expensive guess.

Lamp for Beckman DU730

Lamp for the Beckman DU730, cross-referenced to A23778. The DU730 is a routine life science bench, used mostly for nucleic acid and protein quantitation at fixed wavelengths rather than for full spectra. That matters, because a lamp can be well past its best at 260 nm while a 595 nm assay still reads normally, and nobody notices until the A260/A280 ratios start drifting. If your ratios have moved and your samples have not, read the lamp hours before you re-prepare anything.

The power supply is L10671P. Before ordering, note whether the lamp fails to strike at all or strikes and then drifts: a lamp that will not light at all points at the supply more often than at the lamp. Getting that wrong means buying the cheaper part twice.

Power supply for Maurice lamp

Power supply for the Maurice lamp, cross-referenced to L10671P. It is the part people order second, after a new lamp fails to fix the fault. A supply that cannot hold the strike voltage gives a lamp that will not light, or one that lights and then goes unstable, and both look like a dead lamp from the front panel. Deuterium lamp for PUXI T9 spectrophotometer

Deuterium lamp for the PUXI TONGYONG T9. The T9 is a double beam bench, so the reference channel masks gradual output loss and the first visible sign is usually noise below 250 nm rather than a shifted baseline. Confirm the lamp fitted against the number on the old one before ordering, because instruments in this family have appeared with more than one source. If the instrument is also being used for a compendial method, verify photometric accuracy after the change rather than assuming it.

Deuterium lamp for PUXI T6 spectrophotometer

Deuterium lamp for the PUXI T6. This is a single beam bench, which is worth knowing, because a single beam instrument shows lamp ageing sooner and more honestly than a double beam one: with no reference channel to absorb it, drift appears directly in your readings. Warm the instrument up properly and re-zero before you conclude the lamp is finished. If the baseline settles after twenty minutes and holds, you probably have some life left in it.

Deuterium lamp for Shimadzu UV-Vis spectrophotometers

Deuterium lamp for the Shimadzu UV-Vis bench, cross-referenced to 062-65055-05. These are double beam instruments, which hides lamp ageing for longer than a single beam does: the reference beam absorbs some of the drift, so by the time the baseline looks wrong the lamp is usually well past its useful output. The tell is noise creeping up below 250 nm while the visible range still looks clean. Run the instrument's own energy or lamp history check before ordering, and if the noise covers the whole scan the lamp is not your problem.

Deuterium lamp for the UV-1800 and UV-1900, cross-referenced to L6302-40. These benches keep a lamp hour counter, and it is worth reading before you diagnose anything, because a lamp left on continuously accumulates hours far faster than the number of samples suggests. Many labs never switch the source off between runs. If the counter is low and the UV end is still noisy, suspect a dirty cuvette or a fouled window before the lamp. Reset the counter after fitting, or the next person inherits a number that means nothing.

Aftermarket lamp for the 365 series, cross-referenced to N4101036. The 365 series appears with more than one lamp part number and this is one of them, the other being N4101037, so read the number off the lamp that is fitted rather than ordering by the instrument name. That is the commonest way an order for this detector goes back. Being a flash detector, it also holds the lamp on for the whole collection run, so hours accumulate faster than the number of purifications suggests.

Hollow cathode lamp for atomic absorption, cross-referenced to 10-405-502. A hollow cathode lamp is element specific, so it is not a generic spare: the lamp emits the line spectrum of the metal you are measuring and one will not substitute for another. Tell me the element and the instrument, not just the part number. These lamps also age from being switched on and off rather than from run time, so a lab measuring many elements a day wears them faster than one running a single method.

Whole column imaging detection reads absorbance along the entire capillary at once rather than at a single point, so a lamp with uneven or falling output shows up as a baseline that slopes across the pI range rather than as general noise. Peaks at one end of the focus look wrong while the other end looks fine. If your pI markers have shifted relative to each other rather than together, the source is worth checking before the capillary.

Element lamp, L2433 series

Element lamp, L2433 series. These are element specific, so the series number alone is not an order: the lamp emits the line spectrum of one metal and no other element will run on it. Tell me the element and the instrument. If you are setting up a new method rather than replacing a failed lamp, say so, because the choice of element line and the slit width interact and it is worth getting both right before anything is bought.

Lamp for RF75 series

Aftermarket lamp for the RF75 series. Flash detectors are normally run at one fixed wavelength chosen for the compound class rather than scanned, and that hides lamp ageing: if you always watch 254 nm you will not notice deep UV output falling until a compound that only absorbs near 210 nm goes undetected entirely. On a purification run that means lost material, not a lost data point. Worth running the energy test on a schedule rather than waiting for a symptom to appear.
