Two things are sold here. Branded manufacturer lines are supplied as a reseller, with the brand, the part number and the documentation stated on the page. Everything else is sourced against your requirement, where the manufacturer, country of origin and warranty are stated in the quote. Either way Chromkit invoices you in Canadian dollars, and on a branded line the goods ship inside Canada with no customs entry on your side. Before you move a validated method onto a different sorbent, ask for samples and run the comparison.

SiliaSep Flash Cartridges, Silica-Based, C18 (17%) mono

Reversed phase flash on 40 to 63 micron silica, for compounds too polar to separate on bare silica in a normal phase system. It is the flash equivalent of the C18 SPE cartridge and it lets you purify in water and acetonitrile rather than hexane and ethyl acetate, which also makes the fractions easier to hand straight to an LC-MS check. Confirm your flash system can run aqueous mobile phase and that the cartridge fitting matches before ordering.

Irregular silica at 40 to 63 micron, the everyday flash cartridge for normal phase purification. Sizes run from 4 g for a small reaction up to 330 g. Irregular particles pack a denser bed than spherical ones and cost less, at the price of a broader band and a higher backpressure for the same flow. For a routine separation with a clear TLC gap, that trade is worth taking. Check the cartridge fitting against your instrument before you order, because Biotage, CombiFlash, Buchi and Interchim do not all take the same cartridge.

Monomeric C18 on 25 micron spherical silica, the reversed phase cartridge for a purification that needs resolution the standard 40 to 63 micron grade will not give. Worth the cost when the impurity sits close to the product and a repeat run on standard silica has already failed, and hard to justify when it does not. Confirm your system runs aqueous mobile phase and that the cartridge fitting matches before ordering.

Spherical silica at 25 micron and 90 angstrom, against 40 to 63 micron irregular on the standard cartridge. The smaller, rounder particle gives narrower bands and separates two spots that co elute on a standard cartridge, and it costs more and runs at a higher backpressure to do it. Use it for the separation that has already failed once on standard silica rather than as the default. Check the fitting against your instrument before you order.
