Deuterium lamp for the LC-2030 and LC-2040, cross-referenced to 228-63621 and 228-63621-01. Two part numbers appear against this position, so read the one on the lamp being removed rather than ordering by instrument name. These are the i-Series benches, and a related but different lamp fits the M40 and LC-2050, which is the mistake to avoid. If you are not certain, send me a photograph of the old lamp and its label and I will confirm before quoting.

This lamp has no RFID chip. Some detectors read a chip to log lamp hours. On those, an untagged lamp reports a tag error and will not ignite until you set the lamp type manually, and you reset the lamp-hours counter yourself afterwards. It runs normally once that is done. What that involves. If you would rather have the chipped version, say so and I will quote that instead.

Before you order: if the instrument is misbehaving, tell me the symptom, not the part number. Lamps and seals get replaced for problems they did not cause. The first look costs nothing, and if this part is not the fix, I will say so.

The LC-2010 is an integrated system rather than a modular stack, so the detector is not something you can swap out to test against. Deuterium lamp for the Shimadzu M30A, cross-referenced to 228-54515. The M30A sits in the same family as the i-Series benches but takes its own lamp, and the neighbouring instruments take different ones, so this is a part to order by number rather than by instrument name. Deuterium output falls first in the deep UV, so if the problem you are chasing is at 210 nm rather than 254 nm, the lamp is a reasonable suspect. If it is at both, it is probably not.
