The LC-2010 is an integrated system rather than a modular stack, so the detector is not something you can swap out to test against. That makes the lamp energy reading more useful here than on a modular instrument: it is the only cheap way to separate a tired lamp from a dirty flow cell without dismantling anything. This lamp has no RFID chip. Some detectors read a chip to log lamp hours. On those, an untagged lamp reports a tag error and will not ignite until you set the lamp type manually, and you reset the lamp-hours counter yourself afterwards. It runs normally once that is done. What that involves. If you would rather have the chipped version, say so and I will quote that instead.

Before you order: if the instrument is misbehaving, tell me the symptom, not the part number. Lamps and seals get replaced for problems they did not cause. The first look costs nothing, and if this part is not the fix, I will say so.

Deuterium lamp for the Shimadzu M30A, cross-referenced to 228-54515. The M30A sits in the same family as the i-Series benches but takes its own lamp, and the neighbouring instruments take different ones, so this is a part to order by number rather than by instrument name. Deuterium output falls first in the deep UV, so if the problem you are chasing is at 210 nm rather than 254 nm, the lamp is a reasonable suspect. If it is at both, it is probably not.
